Role Description

As SEO Account Manager, you’ll have experience of managing a wide range of SEO campaigns and be always up-to-date with the SEO industry and what changes might mean for our clients.

Reporting to our Organic Search Director, you will be responsible for developing, refining and implementing bespoke strategies for our clients, as well as sharing best practice, spotting opportunities for clients to grow, minimising threats to performance, and attending client meetings and frequent calls to keep communication on track.

You’ll be the go-to person on your client accounts, meaning that Technical, Content and Outreach colleagues will report into you on specific campaigns. You’ll therefore need to be an excellent communicator and good at managing multiple projects, expectations and stakeholders at once, to achieve maximum client success.

Duties/Responsibilities

A day in the life of a SEO Account Manager looks a little bit like this:

  • Assist with creating and delivering client SEO strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with clients by email and attend meetings and calls.
  • Monitor performance of strategies and identify areas of improvement.
  • Produce bespoke client reports in multiple formats.
  • Stay constantly up to date with industry developments and trends and where needed, communicate these to clients to prepare them ahead of any changes.
  • Monitor and understand clients’ markets and their environments. You should have views on market issues and be up to date with competitor activity.
  • Responsible for the day to day efficiency of work and as such, should be able to plan time and responsibilities effectively.
