About the Role

Our mission is to attract, empower, and retain the best talent in the industry, and the role of the Head of People & Talent is to continue making this a reality as part of an exciting growth plan.

We are looking for someone to understand the company objectives and construct plans and strategies to improve recruitment performance and talent management.

The role currently has two direct reports, with this set to increase, so we need a candidate that can switch between operations and strategy as the business continues to grow.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Accountability for the development, planning, and strategy for People and Talent activities across the business.
  • Understand the business’ overall headcount growth plans and create a robust internal recruitment strategy that aims to achieve these ambitions.
  • Proactively promote the business and create a pipeline of potential talent that is aligned with the company mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee all HR functions and take ownership of the agency’s ‘People’ pillar.
  • Sustain company culture in line with our headcount growth, keeping our values and EDI expectations at the forefront of plans.
  • Develop and implement Evolved’s people policies and practices, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and attend regular meetings to own and deliver people-related agenda items.
  • Report on performance and progress to the Board on a monthly basis.
  • Build and manage a multidisciplinary team across People and Talent.
  • Develop, monitor, and implement the company’s people management strategy.
  • Develop and implement employee retention strategies
  • Understand workforce planning and resource forecasting.
  • Work closely with department heads and leads to ensure team members are performing, and provide coaching and mentoring when needed.
  • Adopt a data-driven approach, monitoring and reporting on KPIs across all aspects of People and Talent.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and strategies within the agency sector.
  • Adopt an experimental approach to seek out new methods to help keep our agency one step ahead of the competition.

What we're looking for

Desired skills and attributes:

  • Genuine interest in the happiness and satisfaction of the employees you support; embracing the business’ dedicated approach to culture.
  • Previous experience working as a senior leader to deliver appropriate people strategies and a good overall understanding of company finances.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced HR team, providing first-class support.
  • Experience in developing and supporting line managers.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills are required together with a solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
