Role Description

As Account Manager, you’ll have experience of managing a wide range of search campaigns and be always up-to-date with the SEO and PPC industry.

Reporting to our Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing, refining and implementing bespoke strategies for our clients, as well as sharing best practice, spotting opportunities for clients to grow, minimising threats to performance, and attending client meetings and frequent calls to keep communication on track.

You will be the go-to person on your client accounts, meaning that you’ll need to develop strong external relationships with clients, and internally with Technical, Content, Outreach, and PPC colleagues reporting into you on specific campaigns.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and good at managing multiple projects, expectations, and stakeholders at once, to achieve maximum client success.

Duties/Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Account Manager looks a little bit like this:

  • Communicate regularly with clients by email and attend meetings and calls.
  • Assist with creating and delivering client strategies.
  • Monitor the performance of strategies and identify areas of improvement.
  • Monitor and understand clients’ markets and their environments. You should have views on market issues and be up to date with competitor activity.
  • Responsible for the day to day efficiency of work and as such, should be able to plan time and responsibilities effectively.
  • Oversee the implementation of growth plans across clients from both a performance and a commercial perspective.
  • Ensure new clients are on-boarded effectively, following the current processes.
  • Produce bespoke client reports in multiple formats.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends and where needed, communicate these to clients to prepare them ahead of any changes.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with experience who can make an impact from the get-go.

You’ll also:

  • Be confident managing a diverse workload and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Have an analytical mindset and be good at solving problems.
  • Be innovative and able to identify new opportunities.
  • Be enthusiastic, willing to learn and keen to share ideas with both colleagues and clients.
  • Ace communications across the board and not be afraid to pick up the phone to clients if the going gets tough.
  • Passionate about all things Search – just like us.

What you'll get from us

Skills like yours come at a price, we get it. In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy:

  • A fantastic working environment with a talented, friendly, cooperative team.
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays – that’s way more than your average!
  • Regular social activities and events, plus one of the best Christmas parties in the region (Amsterdam, Edinburgh, and Dublin most recently). We also complete team initiatives to raise money for causes we care about.
  • Premium private health insurance.
  • Fantastic offices in Newcastle’s creative hub, The Toffee Factory, with a relaxed culture, on-site yoga, free snacks and street-food Thursdays.
  • Access to our Company perks and benefits platform.
  • Early-finish Fridays.
  • A rewarding role with a clear progression route, competitive salary and the chance to be part of a specialist, award-winning agency.
